Someone mentioned that he/she wouldn't waste toilet paper on an alcohol heater/cooker. Reminded me about the way we used to have a "bonfire" on our parade floats when we had a passel of summer camp kids.
We'd cover the truck body with pine branches, place some wood chunks on it, build an evergreen lean-to, fill a 16"X 4" pan with sand, pour some kerosene or diesel fuel on the sand, put a rig over it to hold a kettle, and group our youngest "Indians" around it. The others rode their horses and ponies behind the float. When the time came to start the parade, we'd touch a match to the sand, and they had a safe fire for the duration.
The alcohol would work as well in a canful of sand, I'm sure. And it would preserve that precious toilet paper.
