I don't have time to watch a 1.5 hour documentary, though it does look very interesting. Living off-grid is something that I would love to do but I've yet to find anything that is economically feasible. In the meantime I minimize waste.

My wife and I figure that off grid is possible here in Texas if we build a earth bermed type house that wouldnt need electricity to stay cool in summer. (temperatures a few feet under the surface stay in the 60's all yr)
