Sam's is offering red wheat at a competitive price in buckets. I would still get it from the cannery...
The wheat is about $18 for 37 lbs. This would make it around $20 for 50 pounds if you took off $4 for the bucket.

By way of comparison, I saw Macey's in Orem last night had a dozen or so 45 lb. buckets of white wheat for $30. Red is certainly the way to go right now.

I don't know if someone is attempting some panic control, but today in sacrament meeting, the Bishop announced that the cannery was expecting a bigger shipment of red wheat than they actually needed, and was hoping some people would come sign up for it.
