Help with Food Storage App for Iphone

So I just bought the food storage app for my iphone, finding it pretty good so far, does anyone else use it?

I was wondering if someone could help explain to me how to use the 'USE RATE' section? Do I enter in the use rate per can or per total? I'm just a bit confused by it.

Also, there is no catagory for canned soup, where should I put that?

You can create your own categories, for instance for canned soup. Also, use rate I think is just how much you use a day so it can calculate how long it will last you.
