Has anybody heard of this? Looks like K-5 will be free, and then grades 6 through 12 will require subscription.
I didnt investigate much as my kids are all graduated...

Sounds good to me. I wish it had been available 10 years ago.

k-5 did not have to enroll.

The parents' forum cost money.

In 2015, it should be completed.

It looks good. Too bad I don't have homeschooling kids anymore.

I've begun listening to the video. I like that they are going to use real books instead of textbooks.

I wanted to post this page (http://www.ronpaulcurriculum.com/public/124.cfm), but noticed that (even though they had a print icon, so it is apparently okay to print out the page) they had this at the end:

So, I will simply say that it is all about accreditation. I think it is worth reading. Some people may have a problem with this view but I, personally, like it. Home schoolers aren't accredited anyway.

One more post, then I will stop hogging the thread.

For those who did not want to wait until 2015 (that's when they figure they'll have the thing up and running), they posted this link to a site that offers free learning: https://www.khanacademy.org/

Yeah, accreditation means very little to homeschoolers. The only one who would worry about that are the statists. We are using Khan right now--I love it. My youngest is also using Duo Lingo to learn Portuguese and German. He loves it and is really learning well.

Thanks for mentioning duolingo prairiemom! My son is very excited to get going on it. It looks like a keeper. :)
