The hinges on our woodstove squeal pretty loudly as does the air control that I pull/push in and out. Not a biggie until I'm adding a log in the middle of the night.
Any ideas what I can use to get rid of the squeak that won't dry up right away or be a fire hazard?

1. Powdered Graphite Lubricant - available at the hardware store. This is often only temporary but does fix some squeaks permanently and it is cheap.
2. Hi Temp Anti-Seize compound - available at theautohttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png (http://www.fixya.com/support/t7636566-wood_burning_stove_squeaky#) parts store. This is made for use in car exhaust systems so should last longer.

Come on, admit it, on, or in? :d0 (20):
