This page has as basic checklist of common household items and tools that you may want to run off of a generator. This will give you an approximation of your wattage needs based on your input with the calculator.

Guess I'm just dumb. I entered the numbers, pressed Calculate... nothing. Doesn't bring back anything <sigh>.

Looks like I am dumb too! :) I didn't even try it out. I just thought it was a pretty cool...so I just went and tried it and nothing for me too. :) We are in the same boat NRA.

Works fine for me, just tried it again. Are you guys entering the number of each item on the checklist? For instance, if you enter "5" near the lightbulbs, "1" near the DVD player and "1" near the TV, then hit calculate, you get nothing? This exact scenario tells me that I need approximately 725 watts.

Ditto-nothing for me too. I even tried entering in exactly what you did and no calculations came up :(
