The wife just bought a Camp Chef propane stove on sale that will run on the little Coleman camping tanks as well as the big tanks used for barbecue grills. I think they're made in Utah and I'm impressed with the features and quality. It's about the W x L dimensions of a Coleman white gas stove and about 3 times as tall. It can operate the oven and the burners simultaneously. This should add a bit of comfort when the power goes out instead of simply relying on the Coleman stoves we have or the dutch ovens, which take a lot of time. At first, I argued with her about the expense (120 bucks) but have since learned that they're usually a lot more than that. I'm lucky and grateful to have a wife that's frugal AND sensible about spending our money (along with the myriad other blessings she's brought into my life).
