    Default Nixtamalization of pop corn

Nixtamalization, Does anyone know if this process will work on pop corn? I have some pop corn stored and want to make tortillas from it. I have not been able to find if this process, Nixtamalization, will work on pop corn. I know how to make the lime / water solution and how long to cook and soak regular field corn but can find nothing on using this process on pop corn.

I finally got an answer on this from someone on another site. The answer is yes it will work but you will have much more corn hulls (outer shell) when you get done. I would not mind using regular corn but it is very hard to purchase non GMO corn these days and I do not want to eat that if at all possible.
