Deck Gardening...

I need some ideas for gardening on my deck. I've been leaning towards using those huge galvanized tubs, but don't know if they'll survive the winters. Once they're on my deck, I won't be able to move them around. I could probably cover them, but I'm trying to stay as low-maintenance as possible.

Does anyone else do container gardening? If so, I'd appreciate any ideas.

I saw an article where someone hung up 4-5 rows of plain old plastic rain gutter on the sunny side of their house, and grew pretty decent strawberries and such.

I have no experience at all. Hope to get some next spring.
