Help me with Yarrow

Ok, I'm trying to learn about Yarrow and what it is good for along with how to use it. I am reading most places that mentions teas or poultices. Does anyone have any specifics other than what I am reading? If this herb was important to Brigham Young then it must be something that we should learn for our day.
